Mothers' Union at Greenbelt festival
Mothers' Union had the fun and pleasure of hosting a venue at Greenbelt Christian festival in Cheltenham this August.
With talks and workshops on a huge range of hands-on, family-friendly, faith-founded topics - parenting, justice, media, gang culture, Britishness, football, church, community and poverty - it was a lively and jam-packed weekend!
Reg Bailey, Chief Executive, of the Mothers' Union delivered a workshop on parenting to a packed out marquee! We also took the opportunity to publicise Families First the new mothers' union lifestyle magazine, copies were handed out, to a enthusiastic response, and every parent of the 2,000 festival-goers with home with a free first copy.
Greenbelt focuses on family, creativity, global justice, and church community so we were thrilled to take part!
Families First - now in print
The new Mothers' Union magazine Families First is now in print and the response has been overwhelmingly positive.
Families First is packed with features backing Mothers' Union's aims to encourage strong marriages, good parenting and active faith.
The first issue includes interviews with Mark & Lindsay Melluish who have developed a successful parenting programme; Anne & Tony Hobbs who separated and nearly divorced, but can now say we are more in love than we ever were before; the 80s singer, Yazz, who is due to feature on the BBC's Songs of Praise in October and Cliff Richard, who has recently launched a Bible story book for children.
Subscriptions cost Mothers' Union members just £1.50 per copy the cover price for non-members is £2.50. For more information visit the Families First website www.familiesfirstmagazine.com or phone 020 7222 5533.
