Make a mother's day - two weeks left!

Mothering Sunday is two weeks away - the 14th March - so please get your orders for ethical gifts cards in and encourage your family, friends and branches to get theirs to us as well.

Due to high demand and brilliant fundraising efforts by all of you, we've now run out of make a mother's day printed catalogues. So order online and if you have any spare catalogues and anyone near you needs any more, please share them!

Women's World Day of Prayer - 5th March 2010

Join the global movement of Christian women who will all come together on the first Friday in March and pray. This year the main focus of prayer will be Cameroon.

International Women's Day 2010

International Women's Day (8 March) is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. As a way of marking this special occasion Women for Women international is joining together with women's organization worldwide to celebrate and campaign for peace and women's development. The campaign JOIN ME ON THE BRIDGE is where women across the world will build bridges, thus meeting on bridges and celebrating together. In the UK women will be meeting at the Embankment in London and marching across the Millennium Bridge.

Woman to Woman Northern Conference - Manchester

Join Premier Christian Radio's Woman to Woman presenter, Maria Toth, alongside well known speakers, authors and leaders for a day of power-packed preaching, teaching and prayer at King's House Conference Centre on Saturday 27th March 2010.

"The Northern Conference will be an opportunity for women to be refreshed in their walk with God whilst being challenged to hear what the Spirit is saying to them in this season".

Mothers' Union General Meeting 2010

This year's Mothers' Union General Meeting will be held at Guild Hall in Preston and is posing to be a truly exciting affair. With a great guest speaker lined up and events to mark the 10 year anniversaries of the Literacy and Parenting programmes.

The Festival service the evening before the General meeting is being held at Blackburn Cathedral and seats are available via ticket entry only. Please view below if you would like to book tickets.

Mothers' Union 10 year anniversary of our Literacy and Parenting programmes


This year is the 10 year anniversary of Mothers' Union's literacy and parenting programmes and to mark this special occasion we will be hosting various celebrations. If you or your diocese would like to join in the fun we have prepared some resources to help.

Mothers' Union Policy Watch has changed its name and has now become Faith & Policy Watch, which is Mothers' Union's monthly social policy newsletter. Through this newsletter, social policy issues will be highlighted as they relate to your faith, and will be looking at a whole range of issues from UK Government legislation and developments in the Church.

Mothers' Union are looking for volunteers to work within our publications team or assist with online sales in our merchandising department. Or how about liaising with our development and project workers in our Action & Outreach Unit? The work will be varied and you will be helping us reach our members worldwide whilst gaining experience in a dynamic charity doing all it can to make a better world for families. Interested?
