How to make a mother's day

For Mothering Sunday 2008, Mothers' Union is running an ethical gift campaign, where you can send a Mothering Sunday card with the wonderful gift of an ethical donation to Mothers' Union projects around the world. For example:

• a fruit tree or a goat kid, for a mum in the developing world
• a literacy circle in Sudan, Malawi or Burundi
• an emergency relief kit for families in disaster-hit areas
• toys for child-contact centres in prisons, or groups for parents with children with disabilitites
• a marriage preparation facilitator's training.

The card can be sent to your mum, or someone who has cared for you. Or you can also have one in memory of a mum or someone you remember with fondness and gratitude.

Simply choose the gifts you'd like to buy, complete the order form and (if not buying online) simply return your order form to Mothers' Union. We will send you a card for each item purchased. Each card gives details of the chosen gift and comes ready for you to personalise and send in the envelope provided. Alternatively you can purchase a gift in memory of a mum as a tribute to a life-time of caring.
