Here too we will also include information for those supporting families in their faith development.

Inspire

Jesus commended those who brought their children to him, and used children's qualities as an illustration of how to enter the kingdom of God.
This section will include Bible studies and reflections to inspire parents to nurture faith in the family.

Encourage

A central part of our Mothers' Union vision is:

"to encourage parents in their role to develop the faith of their children".

This section will include prayers, some written by children, and encouraging stories and articles.

Resource

Families benefit from practical ideas and suggestions as they enjoy family faith together.

This section will include recommended resources and activities to try as a family. In this section too, you can find additional resources linked to our booklet for families, Hand in Hand, enjoying faith as a family.  Hand in Hand is Mothers' Union's resource to encourage families to explore and enjoy faith together. The booklet (available from Central Services) affirms the belief that it’s not about yet another set of skills or behaviour codes for children to master, but rather a lifestyle to be shared by the whole family.

The Hand in Hand downloadable ideas sheets accompany the booklet and give practical ways for families to enjoy faith together.
