Mothers' Union Annual Review 2007/8
Joining the Dots
Poverty, illiteracy, natural disaster, gender inequality, conflict, domestic violence, family breakdown, economic disaster, secularisation, commercialisation of children, economic injustice, inflexible working, time impoverised parenting, malaria, discrimination, HIV/AIDS, loneliness, rejection: These are the issues threatening and challenging communities in developed or developing communities across the globe.
Finance...people-power...experience...sustainability...love: These are the "dots" that Mothers' Union members join up to heal fragmented and wounded communities.
From international cooperation to small local projects, joining the dots is about making right connections and fulfilling needs. This year Mothers' Union has worked harer than ever to ensure its policies and outreach work have been relevant by introducing Reaching Out, a strategic planning process designed to help members meet read needs within their communities.
